Return and Refund Policy for orders within the European Union
Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to cancel any purchase on the Downdays Webshop within 14 days after receiving the product without the need to specify any reason. The sole requirement is that the product is without any damage or signs of usage and is returned to Downdays GmbH at the sole cost of the customer. Downdays doesn’t cover costs for return shipping.
You need to announce the withdrawal of purchase to Downdays GmbH, ideally by e-mail to info@downdays.eu, specifying the purchase you want to cancel including the order date, order number and exact specification which product should be effected (particularly when you don’t want to cancel a whole order). Any failure in announcing the withdrawal prior to returning the product may harm your right of withdrawal. We will refund the full price of the product including the costs of shipping of the product to you once we have received the product back in good shape. Please make sure to return the product with tracked shipping, ideally including insurance, and provide us with the tracking information together with the cancellation note. In case you want to cancel the purchase of a single item in a bundle order, the refunded amount will be calculated like this: Add all single item prices of the bundle products; determine the percentage of the price of the single item you want to cancel in respect to the sum of all single item prices in the bundle; calculate this percentage of the bundle price and of the applicable shipping costs.
Other Returns and Refunds
Once the period for the right of withdrawal has expired, no cancellation of purchase is possible unless a product shows a major defect that hasn’t been obvious upon reception of the product. An example could be the diminishing of the graphics on apparel after washing the product for the first time. Normal wear and tear is not a major defect. In case such major defect shows up during the first two years after purchasing a product, we will either refund the purchase price or provide a replacement product. It is mandatory to prove your purchase as well as your claim by either returning the defect product to Downdays GmbH or by supplying sufficient image material of the defect product to Downdays. No other claims will be accepted and compensation is limited to the value of the original purchase.
In case you receive a defective product, for example because it was damaged during shipping, please send a notification to info@downdays.eu as soon as you become aware of the damage. Usually, a damage during shipping will be obvious because of a damage of the packaging. Please provide us with suitable image material of both the damaged product and the damaged packaging. We send our products insured and may claim compensation for the damage. In any case, we will send you a replacement product without additional costs as quickly as possible.
In case a shipping is returned to Downdays because the receiver couldn't be reached at the provided shipping address or a stored shipping wasn’t collected in time by the customer, Downdays will contact the customer to confirm shipping details and will reship the purchase. In this case, the customer will be obliged to pay shipping costs for the resend. In case the customer doesn’t want the purchase to be resent, Downdays will refund the product price without original shipping costs and minus a service fee of € 5,00. In any case, when a shipping gets returned to Downdays because it couldn’t be delivered, Downdays reserves the right to cancel the purchase and refund the product price without shipping costs.
Refund Practice
Refunds will be processed within 14 days, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Note on the cancellation of book purchases:
Due to the product's nature as a consumable media item, you can only withdraw from a book purchase as long as you haven’t consumed, i.e. read the book. Ski Stories Volume 4 is wrapped in a plastic foil, the existence of this plastic foil on a returned book is proof that you haven’t read it. In case the plastic foil is removed, you cannot withdraw from the purchase without reason. For Ski Stories Volume 3 and Ski Stories 2020 we have refrained from wrapping the books in plastic for environmental reasons, therefore the proof that you haven’t read the book isn’t really possible. We trust in your honesty in case you want to withdraw from the purchase of those books without reason.

Cancellations
If your order has not been shipped yet, you can cancel your order by sending an e-mail to info@downdays.eu including the order date, order number and exact specification which product should be effected (particularly when you don’t want to cancel a whole order). If we receive your cancellation in time before products have been packed and processed for shipping (no shipping paid yet), we will simply cancel your order and refund your payment minus a service fee of €3.00. However, since there is a time gap between processing a package for shipping and sending a shipping note to the customer, we cannot guarantee to cancel your order even when you haven’t received a shipping notice yet.

Since books are a consumable media item, we cannot offer returns on books unless they show a major defect or damage. In case of a major defect or damage upon reception, please see above.
Despite not being obliged to for purchases outside of the EU, we accept returns for purchases of apparel for a period of 14 days after reception of the product in case it doesn't fit. Product that is returned must be without any damage or signs of usage and must be returned to Downdays GmbH on the sole cost of the customer, including all costs involving customs.
